Project Engineer - Air filtration & power generationThis person shall be responsible for the execution of OEM and Retrofit projects for Power Generation, specifically Large Turbine and Compressor Air Filtration and Air Inlet projects. The role requires ensuring alignment with customer specifications, technical requirements, regulations, budget, profitability goals, quality policies, and delivery deadlines. Key responsibilities include close collaboration with Production, Sales, Application & Product Groups, Drafting, Purchasing, QA/QC, and Planning/Expediting departments. Additionally, the role involves maintaining continuous communication with customer departments to meet project requirements.Key Responsibilities:
Ensure flawless and successful execution of projects, from project start-up till project delivery, in accordance with customer specifications, technical requirements, budgeted cost, timelines and financial / contractual conditions (L/Cs, LDs, etc.). Supported by using the available Project Engineering tools.
execute / meet special customer requests upon mutual agreement.
Organize with Purchasing critical project parts execution / supply chain.
Organize with appointed CAD Project Coordinator, CAD Designer or Draftsman the detailed design (smart design).
Solve most of the project related claims during project and after project shipment. Site visit may play an important role in critical cases (see PM).
Inspect with customer (+ report) the goods i.e., materials, products, components, certificates, and manuals. Preliminary selection + inspection visits to suppliers for critical parts can be advised.
Prepare and organize all relevant meetings with customers + entity Departments for appointed projects or project parts.
Lay-out customer project standardizations in line with entity organization and Power Gen Engineering.
Gather the necessary information to set-up a (customer) project planning at project start-up to determine the critical project parts / milestones to guide Project Engineering, Drafting, Purchasing and Manufacturing. Supported by the available tools (ITP) and communication with colleagues from other departments.
Cost follow-up / Budget control with regards to total estimated project costs and prepare the Cost Reconciliation of each project unit shipped, at the end of the month, in close liaison with Project Buyer and / or Project Manager and using the ETO tool.
Initiate Lean initiatives to improve / facilitate the Project Execution processes or flow.
Inform the PM on project milestones (e.g., final inspection date, Ready to Ship date etc.) and project issues. Initiate corrective actions with regards to problem solving (after consultation with the Senior Product Manager).
Any other task assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education: Engineering degree Electrical or Mechanical (Industrial or Civil Engineer).
Experience: Minimum 3 years
Knowledge / Skills / Competences:
Very strong administrative / PC skills (MS Office)

Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
Business understanding:
Detailed knowledge of Power Gen equipment and internal processes in project execution.
