:Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to be part of our Digital Consulting in Abu Dhabi for permanent role.Under close direction and guidance, supports delivery of engineering excellence in their assigned project(s) through coordination of single discipline engineering deliverables.

• Coordinates a series of activities performed by engineers and designers from one engineering discipline to support the timely issuing of engineering deliverables to meet project specifications.
• Develops understanding of relevant engineering and HSES procedures and standards
• Alerts more senior project engineering personnel in the event of potential delays or change; supports implementation of approved changes.

Responsibilities:Project deliverables

• Under close direction and guidance, coordinates discipline input to deliverables including Process/Utility Flow Diagrams, Engineering Flow Diagrams and, Line Lists, Equipment Lists, Special Piping Item Lists and Requisition Index.
• Able to coordinate inputs of a single engineering discipline within one office location

Quality, HSE and assurance

• Develops a basic knowledge of engineering standards and procedures; participates in key events gaining practical experience.
• Develops understanding of Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) standards, procedures, work practices and literature

Development and Management of Schedule

• Plans individual work activities and manages time; liaises with disciplines to ensure timely receipt of comments. Follows and delivers against the project engineering manhour budget and schedule requirements.
• Reports on progress issues to facilitate resolution.
• Alerts more senior project engineering personnel in the event of potential delays or change Design Verification Participate in design reviews to learn requirements and follow up on actions. Change Management
• Supports implementation of approved changes. People Management
• Coordinates work of small team of technical professionals in the delivery of engineering deliverables, (typically

5); communicates with line managers.Qualifications:Internal:

• Daily interaction with Wood engineering resources
• Takes direction from project management / engineering management External:
• Interface between the Wood and Client engineering teams for assigned scopes.
• Maintain effective communication with all relevant parties including Client, Engineering Discipline Management, Partners and Project Team to facilitate resolution of areas of concern, lessons learnt and continuous improvement strategies for assigned project scope

Typical qualifications required

• ISCED Level 6 Bachelor\'s (minimum) degree or Level 7 Masters (preferred) in an engineering discipline

Knowledge, skills and experience:

• Entry level role, incumbents will typically have less than 2 years\' experience
• Elementary understanding of simple technical work scopes, key dates and milestones.
• Basic knowledge of discipline engineering activities to coordinate the group
• Understands the concept of customer satisfaction.
• Commercially astute and aware of the importance of Change control.
• Able to coordinate activities of small, single discipline group in one office location
