Job Summary
The Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all activities related to the supply, installation, and commissioning of lighting systems for various projects. This includes working closely with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient project completion. The ideal candidate will have experience in project coordination, knowledge of lighting and electrical systems, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Project Planning and Coordination
• Assist in planning and scheduling project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders (clients, suppliers, and contractors) to ensure all project requirements are met.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, updates, reports, and change orders.
• Site Management
• Oversee daily site activities to ensure adherence to the project plan and timelines.
• Coordinate the delivery and installation of lighting fixtures, ensuring all materials arrive on time and meet project specifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards on-site.
• Communication and Reporting
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all site-related inquiries.
• Regularly update the Project Manager on site progress, issues, and any changes in project scope or timelines.
• Document and report project milestones, progress, and any site challenges or delays.
• Technical Support and Problem Solving
• Assist in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and lighting layouts.
• Provide support for troubleshooting on-site issues, working with electricians and technicians to address any installation or operational problems.
• Ensure that all installed lighting systems function as intended and meet design specifications.
• Quality Assurance and Testing
• Ensure all installations meet quality standards and specifications.
• Coordinate on-site testing and commissioning, validating system performance according to design criteria.
• Prepare and review as-built drawings and handover documents for client approval.
• Project Closure and Handover
• Assist in project closeout, ensuring all tasks are completed, documentation is submitted, and the site is prepared for handover.
• Coordinate client training on the lighting system's operation and maintenance, if necessary.
• Gather client feedback and work to address any final issues or adjustments post-installation.
Requirements
• Education : Diploma or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
• Experience : Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in lighting or electrical installation.
• Skills :
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Familiarity with lighting systems, controls, and installation practices.
• Proficiency in project management tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Working Conditions
• This role requires frequent travel to project sites.
• The Project Coordinator may need to work outside standard business hours to accommodate project deadlines and site requirements.
• The role involves a combination of office work and fieldwork.
