Job Summary:
The Project Coordinator for the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Department will support the MEP project managers in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Coordinator will also help define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Planning and Coordination:
• Assist in the development of project plans and schedules.
• Coordinate project meetings, including preparation and distribution of meeting minutes.
• Assist in the identification and resolution of project issues.
Communication and Documentation:
• Serve as a point of contact for project stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including status reports, project schedules, and other relevant documents.
• Ensure effective communication between project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
Resource Management:
• Assist in resource allocation and scheduling.
• Monitor and track project progress and performance against established metrics.
• Help coordinate and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
Quality Control and Compliance:
• Assist in the implementation of quality control measures.
• Ensure projects adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Assist in the development and implementation of MEP project standards and guidelines.
Budget and Financial Management:
• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets.
• Track project expenditures and assist in financial reporting.
• Support project managers in cost control and financial analysis.
Risk Management:
• Identify potential project risks and assist in the development of mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and report on risk management activities.
Support and Administration:
• Provide administrative support to the MEP project management team.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals and bid documents.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the MEP project managers or department head.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of years of experience in project coordination, preferably within the MEP or construction industry.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction processes.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) and other relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
