Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently inviting expressions of interest for a Project Controls Lead for our Engineering to be based in Oman.

Please note that the position is subject to project award.

Job Purpose To provide project control services in a timely and efficient manner as required to support the projects Below are some key responsibilities and duties: Manage and provide cost and planning engineering services for projects Lead the diverse project controls team Review project control teamwork including P6 schedules, cost management and reporting and ensure on-time delivery with quality Support Project Services lead in identifying necessary project support tools and timely deployment of same Support Project Services Lead in Identifying and project resources requirement and timely deployment of same Support and provide inputs to Project Services Lead for Business plans Support and provide inputs to project Services Lead for FEED office and Customer management meetings Support and provide inputs to Project Lead for project review meetings Take part in inter-discipline project meetings and project meetings with Project Teams / Clients Create demonstrable value for customers by understanding their drivers and critical success factors Maintain effective communications and relationships within/between disciplines and peers in other project teams Execute, with assigned resources, Project support activities including various aspects of Cost, Planning and controls Ensure own discipline work is successfully delivered and appropriate reviews are conducted regularly Carry out appropriate discipline and inter-discipline checks and reviews of Project documents and records as required Capture/apply internal and external learnings including HSE improvements Deliver continuously improving performance, benchmarked as top tier in the industry Ensure subordinate Discipline Engineers Time write correctly to the Project(s) each week Identify areas of standardization in project controls and drive controls team towards contribution and utilization Support the training & coaching of project control trainees and awareness for other discipline trainees Implement, practice, and monitor Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001-2015 and API Q2 2nd edition requirements Ensure management by team all technical Clarifications- on scope and needs Responsible for coordination with the asset teams for the information and technical discussions Accountable for the Decision Making on changes Ensure timely close out of all assurance reviews actions Ensure management of raising, uploading,liaising for approval of Technical Variances Ensure managing and approving of all for TPS Final reports in timely manner Skills / Qualifications

Engineering degree or equivalent Minimum 6 years in FEED/Engineering and minimum 12 years in oil & gas industry with relevant experience on major capital projects Working in a multi-cultural environment Company Overview
