Job Overview TE Connectivity's CNC Machinists prepare detailed numerical control programs for use in production on numerical controlled machinery; they run the EDM, including programming, setup and operation. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.
Description
Ability to read, understand, & interpret blueprints (GD and T); Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality; Create new programs and modify existing programs to improve processes; Excellent communication with project manager to maintain an efficient production flow; Update CNC programs and manufacturing processes to optimize machine lead times; Create, modify and optimize programs using Hypermill, Pips CAD,CAM Software; Implementing basic checks on all the CNC machineries Consult with machine operators to check and ensure that new programs are functioning properly and meet expectations;
What your background should look like:
Reads in and manipulates CAD Designs from Creo or similar. Candidate should have 5 years of relevant experience Knowledge of manufacturing and machining practices Understand software development principles Experience creating and/or editing 3DCAM files 3-5 years CNC Programming; Ability to read blueprints Know how to Produce blueprints from solid models Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently. Experience and training in Geometric Dimensioning and tolerance
