Job Description

As a Pattern Maker, your primary responsibility is to bring the designer's sketches to life by developing accurate and well-crafted patterns. Your role is crucial in transforming design concepts into tangible garments that can be produced for the fashion collection. You will be an integral part of the design and production process, ensuring that the garments fit well, are aesthetically pleasing, and maintain the designer's vision.

•Key Responsibilities: •

• Pattern Development: Utilize specialized knowledge and skills to create accurate patterns for each garment in the collection. This includes pattern drafting, grading, and creating markers to optimize fabric usage during production.
• Fit Sessions: Participate in fit sessions with designers, models, and technical teams to assess the fit and drape of garments. Make necessary adjustments to patterns to achieve the desired fit and style.
• Sample Development: Oversee the creation of samples based on the approved patterns. Analyze and provide feedback on sample garments to ensure they match the designer's vision and meet quality standards.
• Pattern Revisions: Be open to incorporating feedback from designers and technical teams during the pattern development process. Make necessary revisions to patterns to address design changes and achieve the desired outcomes.
• Technical Expertise: Possess an in-depth understanding of garment construction, fabric properties, and sewing techniques to create patterns that are production-friendly and can be easily replicated.
• Quality Control: Ensure the accuracy and precision of patterns to minimize errors during production and maintain consistency in the final collection.
• Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with tailors, and manufacturers to address any pattern-related issues and ensure the smooth production process.
• Research and Development: Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in pattern making and garment construction to enhance your skills and contribute to the continuous improvement of the design process.
• Problem Solving: Demonstrate a problem-solving mindset to address challenges related to pattern making, fitting issues, and design modifications.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Pattern Maker in the fashion industry. (minimum of 3 years)
• Proficiency in pattern making software and traditional pattern drafting techniques.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric properties, and sizing principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in pattern development.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment.
• Effective communication skills to convey pattern-related information to designers and technical teams.
• Flexibility to adapt to design changes and meet deadlines.
• Passion for fashion and a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Languages: English mainly. A basic understanding of Hindi &/or Urdu is fine too.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
