Job Title - Production Support Engineer

Location - Dubai

Salary - AED 18000- AED 20000/-

We are seeking a seasoned Production Support Engineer with 5-8 years of experience in managing and maintaining critical production environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in databases, proficient troubleshooting skills, expertise in DevOps practices and incident management. Certification in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus, demonstrating advanced knowledge in cloud technologies. This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of our production systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide proactive and reactive technical support for production systems, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across multiple layers of the technology stack, including applications, databases, and infrastructure.

Manage database technologies such as SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.Strong proficiency in database technologies such as SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc

Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to detect and mitigate production issues promptly.

Collaborate with development teams to deploy and maintain applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.).

Design and implement automation for deployment, configuration management, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Lead incident management activities, including root cause analysis, incident response, and post-mortem reviews.

Optimize and tune database systems for performance and reliability.

Develop and maintain documentation for production systems, processes, and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

5-8 years of experience in a Production Support or similar role.

Strong proficiency in database technologies such as SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect).

Expertise in troubleshooting complex production issues and system performance tuning.

Solid understanding of DevOps principles and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins).

Experience with incident management practices, including escalation procedures and post-incident analysis.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect.

Familiarity with micro services architecture and server less computing.

Experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell scripting, etc.).

Knowledge of cyber security best practices in cloud environments.
