Job Summary: Production Supervisor (Gold Jewellery Products Manufacturing)

The

Production Supervisor

is a critical role responsible for overseeing and optimizing production processes to achieve efficiency, high-quality standards, and timely delivery of gold jewellery products. This position involves supervising production floor operations, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Operations Management

Oversee daily production activities, including

order inputs and outputs for casting, drum and buffing finishing, tables, and quality control (QC)

, to ensure timely dispatch of orders. Maintain uninterrupted production operations, identifying and addressing issues proactively.

2. Reporting to Senior Staff

Provide regular updates to senior departmental staff on

breakdowns, maintenance concerns, and handling errors

. Promptly analyze and resolve operational challenges to sustain efficiency.

3. Staff Supervision and Training

Train and supervise subordinate staff across production processes, ensuring they adhere to assigned responsibilities. Monitor team performance and provide guidance to ensure tasks are completed within deadlines.

4. Production Balance and Optimization

Ensure balanced workflow across all production stages to avoid bottlenecks. Implement strategies to

reduce lead times

and improve efficiency in order fulfillment.

5. Quality and Safety Assurance

Enforce compliance with company quality standards and safety protocols. Monitor adherence to production guidelines and implement corrective measures when needed.

6. Delivery and Deadlines

Set and enforce delivery timelines for incoming orders and samples. Ensure adherence to deadlines, taking corrective actions to meet customer commitments.

7. Inventory and Resource Management

Regularly monitor consumable stock levels, including powders, tools, and other materials, to ensure sufficient supply without overstocking. Oversee equipment functionality and coordinate timely maintenance to prevent downtime.

8. Resource Planning and Reporting

Assess requirements for new machinery or workforce based on production demands. Prepare and submit detailed reports with justifications for additional resources.

9. Process Implementation

Ensure smooth implementation of new processes and procedures to enhance production efficiency while adhering to company protocols.

10. Wastage Control

Monitor and control wastage at

cutting and polishing tables

, ensuring it remains within target levels. Implement improvement measures and provide regular reports on progress.

11. ERP System and Reporting

Ensure accurate capture of new incoming and outgoing orders in the ERP system, following approval processes. Prepare regular reports, including

Pending Orders, Production Reports, Wastage Reports, and Work Status Reports

.

12. Cross-Department Collaboration

Liaise closely with the

Gold Control Department

to reconcile inventory levels and ensure accuracy. Report any interruptions or breakdowns immediately to top management.

13. Other Duties

Undertake any additional tasks assigned by the Reporting Manager or Top Management as required.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
