- DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION
- Production Management & Planning Support:
Develop & Assist in managing production schedules and workflow by following the assignments and schedules provided by the Factory Manager.
Coordinate with Senior Planning Engineer on Material Planning & Production Planning.
Work closely with production team to ensure schedules are adhered to and production targets are met.
Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to streamline workflows.
Assist the Factory Manager in coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of the production department.
Follow instructions and project specifications provided by the Factory Manager to ensure the accurate and consistent production of products.
Support maintenance activities by reporting equipment issues or malfunctions to the Factory Manager and participating in routine maintenance tasks as required.
Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and company standards, reporting any safety concerns or incidents promptly to the Factory Manager.
Ensure that production staff follow work guidelines and procedures, and report any deviations or issues to the Factory Manager.
Suggest improvements in production processes or workflow to increase efficiency and productivity, and communicate these ideas to the Factory Manager
Operate production machinery and equipment under the guidance of the Production, ensuring safety protocols are adhered to at all times.
- Continuous Improvement
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
Propose and implement process improvements based on analysis of production and inventory data.
Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements to drive innovation in production planning and inventory management.
- Inventory Control
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods in Clamps.
Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
Implement strategies to minimize stock-outs, reduce excess inventory, and improve turnover rates.
Assist in monitoring inventory levels and report any shortages or excesses to the Factory Manager for replenishment or adjustments.
- Documentation and Reporting
Prepare and update reports on production activities, inventory status, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with documentation requirements and internal controls.
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities produced, materials used, and any issues encountered during the production process.
- Coordination and Communication
Collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, and quality teams to optimize supply chain operations.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding production schedules and inventory updates.
Address operational issues promptly and collaborate on corrective actions.
Collaborate with fellow Production Supervisors and team members to ensure efficient and smooth production processes.
Assist in training and guiding new production staff on safe machinery operation and adherence to production procedures.
Coordinate with the quality team and Inspect and assess the quality of products during and after production, reporting any defects or discrepancies to the Factory Manager
Provide daily updates on production progress, challenges, and accomplishments to the Factory Manager
Be present at your designated workstation at all times, apart from scheduled breaks, to contribute to a smooth production process.
Assist the Factory Manager in maintaining discipline within the production team and promoting a positive work environment
Required Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience:
• 5-7 years in manufacturing, with 3+ years in clamps or related metalworking/injection molding production.
• Skills:
• Knowledge of production planning software (e.g., SAP, EPICOR).
• Familiarity with ISO standards for manufacturing.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.
