The Production Planning department at Emirates Engineering plays a pivotal role in getting all the required maintenance done in the most efficient manner. Utilizing advanced planning tools, in depth technical reviews and collaborating closely with various teams, we ensure smooth maintenance operations, minimizing downtime and maximizing aircraft availability. Our focus is on maintaining high safety and efficiency standards while adapting to the airlines dynamic requirements.About this role:As a Production Planning Officer you will plan, execute and deliver the materials co-ordination, estimation, work pack preparation, closure and workshop planning within the aircraft maintenance organisation. To assist the Production Planning Engineers in the delivery of their role and support the Production team in the execution of maintenance. Ensure all activities are delivered to the highest standards of airworthiness, safety and quality compliance.In this role, you will:
Provide supervision, training and guidance to any reporting team members.
Act as deputy for immediate supervisor when required.
Participate in projects to continuously improve the Production Planning Service.
Materials Co-Ordination:
Review all materials requests for the ongoing check to see if there is stock available and coordinate delivery based on order priority. Monitor for duplicate requests and cancel/adjust as required. Determine the best solution for all materials shortages.
Co-ordinate with internal and External Stakeholders as required to ensure the pre-draw is delivered before A/C input, including mod kits on the dates agreed with the production team.
Provide recommendations on task withdrawal based on part non-availability and lead times which do not support the check workflow.
Review all materials requests for the ongoing check to see if there is stock available and coordinate delivery based on order priority. Monitor for duplicate requests and cancel/adjust as required. Determine the best solution for all materials shortages. Coordinate with Material Organization/FTM on Part Basic set-up.
Co-ordinate all Ship Shop Ship(S/S/S), Tasks 2 and repair orders to ensure they will be returned to the aircraft in accordance with the required dates per the workflow plan or substitute parts are sourced.
- Ensure all S/S/S or tasks 2 parts are dispatched with all required information listed. - Ensure all relevant stake holders are kept updated on the materials status for the check, especially any items which may impact on the workflow of the input. - Provide appropriate daily reports to the Production Planning Engineers and production teams. - Monitor the actual material issues the Check Budget and provide feedback to the production team on opportunities to reduce the materials cost including working with the production team to return unused parts. - Coordinate the Robbery activity for assigned events, ensuring robbery messages are sent and robbed parts are processed through the virtual robbery store to control R Class costs. - Co-ordinate all materials related closure actions at the end of each input including: - DBNU clean-up and feedback to the planning organisation for future DBNU reduction. - Review the materials spend in terms of parts, quantity & cost at the end of each input and provide recommendations on future stock levels, contingency spares orders and unusual order patterns. Work pack Management:
Deliver and supervise the check work package preparation and compilation process for assigned events, from handover of a package by CAMO to the handover of it to the production team. Continuously update the work pack as supplements are added or tasks withdrawn.
Conduct technical review of the tasks which could be called up by Maintenance Planning to ensure the following is identified: task intent, special requirements (jacking, defueling, repairs, shop input, test flights etc.) dependencies, materials required, tooling required, new supporting task cards required and any other information which will aid the planning process. Ensure all issues identified as part of the technical review process are followed up with the concerned departments and resolved prior to the start of each input.
Ensure segregation of work packages into working zones/trades as per the work flow plan for proper and smooth execution of maintenance input prior to each event. Ensure the work pack is displayed in the production area as required.
Actively work on DBNU reduction for routine tasks by working with the materials coordinators to identify route causes and do the necessary adjustment to the spares set up on the tasks to ensure DBNU is minimized. Adjust MQs in UM to match the daily plan of tasks.
Receive and complete audit of all paperwork prior to CRS and ensure it conforms to all EPM and quality requirements. Any paperwork failing audit to be returned to Production for correction and logged for error reporting.
Complete all IT systems transactions including tasks status tracking in the 145 task tracking system, task card closure and work pack closure in UM. Generate a post check completion report and distribute to all relevant parties and dispatch completed work packs to Technical Records.
Creation of Maintenance facilitation procedures/tasks as required to support the planned maintenance execution.
Workshops:
Ensure all the planned work is packaged, segregated into daily activities and provided to production. Ensure visibility of daily workload progress and update WO status to indicate shortages of materials/resources.
For SSS/Tasks 2, highlight major defects and check timelines to the Workshop Engineer through effective and timely communication.
Coordinate the addition of PNs to the capability list as required.
Update and publish daily progress report.
Monitor open WOs for man-hour/material/work progress and update WO status on a daily basis.
Estimation:
Keep the estimation database up to date with each new task on Emirates fleet broken down as per task steps, trade wise estimated MH with concurrent task requirements and access panels.
Perform defect analysis for completed inputs in terms of Non-Routine estimation taking into consideration check type, aircraft type, age, and in service issues to determine technical impact for future layovers.
Post each completed input produce the man-hour analysis in terms of clocking/ man-hour utilization.
Review `Feedback Discrepancies? of Production Planning to support teams/departments of EK Engineering in terms of documentation discrepancies, man-hours, as well as initiating developmental change in AMM and other manuals of related EK Fleet.
Highlight first time tasks, tasks with high tasks & access man-hours, expected defects from historical trend and other tasks impacting production work flow plan as part of the detailed Estimate Report for every check input.
Produce a detailed man-hours(MH) estimate for each assigned event to support the workflow and manpower planning process.
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirement:
Diploma in Engineering or Aircraft Maintenance OR Basic GCAA Licence OR Degree in Engineering - Bachelors in Engineering (Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical)
Diploma or Basic GCAA Licence with 5 years of experience within Aircraft Maintenance or Production Planning at an Airline or 3rd party Maintenance facility preferable in aircraft scheduling, maintenance planning, production planning and/or a related environment.
Degree in Engineering with 3 years of experience within Aircraft Maintenance or Production Planning at an Airline or 3rd party Maintenance facility preferable in aircraft scheduling, maintenance planning, production planning and/or a related environment.
You\'ll have an edge if you have:
Good understanding of aircraft documentation and records including Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC), Work Packages and Maintenance Schedules.
Knowledge of aircraft systems, power plant and components.
Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
Knowledge of Ultramain system.
Familiar with aircraft regulatory requirements and legislation.
