If you\'re passionate about precision manufacturing, logistics optimization, and delivering top-notch results, this role is for you!Role Purpose: As our Production Manager (IMU), you\'ll be instrumental in ensuring consistent deliveries aligned with our MPS and Cost model targets. Your responsibilities will span from implementing standard work for planning and execution to real-time problem resolution and monitoring production metrics. You\'ll play a pivotal role in driving quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across the production process.Key Accountabilities:
Establish and maintain the IMU production infrastructure, including managing and maintaining test facilities and equipment.
Collaborate with the development management team to select the appropriate equipment and facilities needed for IMU production.
Identify, purchase, and commission Navigation department assets as required.
Provide production inputs and requirements to support ongoing IMU manufacture.
Oversee the production environment to ensure goals for Quality, Delivery, and Cost are met safely.
Set up and manage ongoing production by introducing, monitoring, and reporting production KPIs.
Ensure materials, equipment, and resources are available to meet production plans for "uneventful days."
Drive cost efficiency by participating in budget setting and understanding inventory, throughput, and operating costs.
Participate in MPS generation to ensure credible plans are in place.
Establish the production logistics strategy, including setting and managing appropriate stock levels.
Requirements:
General Competencies: Effective communication, coaching, customer focus, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Specific Job Competencies: Detailed technical knowledge of IMU manufacturing and logistics, life cycle management, paperless MES systems (SAP), Lean Six Sigma.
Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in production, logistics, or management roles, with preferred 15+ years specialist exposure in IMU production in a defense environment.
Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in an appropriate field required, with a preference for a Master\'s degree.
