The role ensures production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards, operational efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Managing a team of production workers, technicians, and supervisors, the Production Manager will coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations, minimize downtime, and meet customer demand.Essential Responsibilities:1. Production Department
Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demand and business goals.
Team Leadership and Supervision: Lead, train, and manage production teams, including supervisors and operators. Conduct performance reviews and improvement plans.
Process Optimization: Improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure health, safety, and environmental regulations are strictly followed. Conduct safety audits and training sessions.
Reporting and Documentation: Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production rates, downtime, and yield. Prepare reports for management.
2. Quality Department .
Quality Control and Assurance: Implement quality control procedures for all production stages.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, national, and international quality and environmental standards.
Inspection and Testing: Oversee inspection of raw materials and finished goods to verify conformance to specifications.
Problem Solving: Identify quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Training and Development: Train staff on quality standards, inspection procedures, and quality management tools.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and audits.
Customer Complaint Handling: Investigate and address customer complaints related to product quality.
3. Maintenance Department .
Maintenance Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure maximum productivity and minimal downtime.
Team Supervision: Lead and train the maintenance team, including technicians, electricians, and mechanics.
Troubleshooting and Repair: Oversee quick responses to equipment failures to minimize production downtime.
Inventory and Spare Parts Management: Ensure adequate availability of spare parts and maintenance materials.
Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage the maintenance budget while ensuring cost-effective operations.
Compliance and Safety: Enforce safety regulations, conduct safety audits, and ensure adherence to maintenance protocols.
Equipment Performance Monitoring: Use predictive maintenance techniques to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
Collaboration with Other Departments: Work with production and quality teams to align maintenance activities with operational needs.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certifications in production management or Lean Six Sigma are a plus.
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in production management in the plastic manufacturing industry or a similar sector.
