The Role

• The Production Manager oversees and streamlines manufacturing operations to optimize resources and achieve business objectives. This includes resource planning, training, and the implementation of advanced technologies to maintain a competitive edge. o They establish short- and long-term strategies to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and achieve set targets while minimizing quality complaints. o The role involves leading teams across production, planning, engineering, and prepress functions, fostering a collaborative environment, and ensuring smooth operations. o They are responsible for developing and maintaining SOPs, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards, and managing budgets effectively by conducting variance analyses and aligning spending with production volumes. o The manager must continually innovate processes, solve operational challenges, and implement cost-reduction measures while maintaining high product standards that meet or exceed customer expectations. o Additionally, they ensure workforce optimization, succession planning, and adherence to company policies. o Regular risk assessments, employee training, and technical support are integral to the role, alongside motivating teams to meet objectives and handle additional responsibilities as needed.


Requirements

• The ideal candidate should hold a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Printing Technology, with at least 12 years of experience in high-volume offset printing and packaging manufacturing, including 8+ years in managerial roles. o They must have expertise in machine acquisition and installation, technical document interpretation, and problem-solving under pressure. o Proficiency in English, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and familiarity with operational excellence tools are essential. o Experience with ISO training and orientation is highly valued. o Key competencies include technical expertise in printing and packaging machinery, strategic leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to driving innovation and project completion. o Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are required, along with the ability to foster teamwork and maintain confidentiality. o Candidates must demonstrate a thorough understanding of company policies and a focus on achieving excellence in operations and customer satisfaction. o Fluency in additional languages is an advantage.
