Job Summary:

The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of products. This role involves planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing activities while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. The Production Manager will also be responsible for optimizing resources, improving productivity, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in line with the company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:1. Production Planning & Management:

Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer requirements and company objectives. Ensure optimal utilization of machinery, manpower, and materials. Monitor and control production costs, reducing waste and improving efficiency. Collaborate with the engineering team to enhance manufacturing processes and product designs.

2. Quality Assurance & Compliance:

Ensure all products meet industry standards and customer specifications. Implement and enforce quality control measures throughout the production process. Work closely with the Quality Control (QC) team to address and resolve any defects or non-conformities. Maintain compliance with ISO standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.

3. Team Leadership & Workforce Management:

Supervise and manage production staff, ensuring proper training and skill development. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Monitor employee performance, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions when necessary.

4. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement:

Identify and implement improvements in manufacturing techniques, reducing downtime and increasing efficiency. Lead lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to enhance productivity. Stay updated with the latest advancements in steel fabrication and galvanizing processes.

5. Equipment & Maintenance Coordination:

Ensure regular maintenance and servicing of machinery and equipment. Work closely with the maintenance team to prevent unplanned breakdowns and optimize machine efficiency. Recommend upgrades or replacements to improve production capacity.

6. Health, Safety, & Environmental Compliance:

Enforce workplace safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries. Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions where necessary. Promote an environmentally responsible approach to production processes, especially in hot-dip galvanizing.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 15 years of experience in a similar role within the steel fabrication or galvanizing industry. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes for street lighting poles, steel structures, and guard rails. Proficiency in production planning, process optimization, and quality control methodologies. Experience with ERP systems and production monitoring tools is preferred.

Working Conditions:

Based in the factory, with frequent interaction with production teams. Requires hands-on involvement in manufacturing operations. May involve working extended hours to meet production deadlines.
