As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to join our team in Abu Dhabi. Role Overview: As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process within our marine facility. From coordinating workflow to ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality control measures, you will play a crucial role in driving operational efficiency and delivering projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Production Planning and Scheduling:Develop and implement production plans to meet project timelines and client requirements.Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to allocate resources effectively.Monitor production schedules and adjust as necessary to optimize efficiency and minimize delays.Resource Management:Manage a team of production staff, including supervisors, technicians, and laborers.Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring that each team member understands their role in the production process.Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback for continuous improvement.Quality Assurance:Establish and maintain quality control standards for all production activities.Conduct inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.Implement corrective actions as needed to address quality issues and prevent reoccurrence.Health and Safety:Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to educate staff on best practices and risk mitigation strategies.Investigate accidents and incidents, and implement preventive measures to minimize workplace hazards.Supplier and Vendor Management:Liaise with suppliers and vendors to procure materials and equipment required for production.Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and cost-effective solutions.Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner.Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction initiatives.Implement Lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to streamline workflows and improve productivity.Foster a culture of innovation and encourage employee involvement in problem-solving and idea generation. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.Proven experience in production management within the marine industry, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.Strong knowledge of marine construction techniques, materials, and equipment.Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.Proficiency in project management software and MS Office applications.Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001), health and safety regulations, and industry best practices.
