Production Oversight:
Lead day-to-day UAV production activities, ensuring that all production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and meet quality standards.
Coordinate the assembly, integration, and testing of UAVs, ensuring all specifications are met and processes are followed.
Manage production timelines, ensuring that production schedules are adhered to and deliverables are met on time.
Team Leadership:
Supervise, train, and mentor a team of technicians, assemblers, and engineers.
Foster a collaborative work environment to optimize productivity, resolve conflicts, and maintain morale.
Provide ongoing support for team members, ensuring they have the necessary tools, training, and resources to succeed.
Process Management:
Oversee the implementation of best practices in UAV production and assembly processes, ensuring consistency and quality.
Develop and refine production workflows to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction without compromising quality.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
Ensure that all UAVs undergo rigorous testing procedures to meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain high standards of quality control, conducting inspections and audits to ensure products meet both internal and external specifications.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, certifications, and safety standards (e.g., FAA, ISO, etc.).
Collaboration with Engineering & Design Teams:
Work closely with design and engineering teams to address technical challenges, design updates, and production feasibility.
Provide feedback on product designs and suggest improvements based on production experience.
Troubleshoot any production issues related to components, systems, or technical specifications.
Inventory & Supply Chain Management:
Ensure that necessary materials, components, and parts are available for production and work with the supply chain team to manage inventory levels.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality components.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of production schedules, processes, issues, and resolutions.
Prepare regular reports on production status, performance metrics, and areas for improvement.
Document and implement procedures, updates, and changes in production protocols as needed.
Key Qualifications:
Experience:
10+ years of experience in UAV production, aerospace manufacturing, or a related field.
At least 3-5 years in a leadership or supervisory role, managing teams of production staff or technicians.
Education:
Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of UAV systems, including hardware, software, and control systems.
Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and manufacturing/production management tools (e.g., ERP systems).
Experience with UAV testing procedures, calibration, and troubleshooting.
Leadership & Management:
Proven experience in managing a production team, driving performance, and fostering a positive and productive environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Problem Solving:
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, particularly in a fast-paced, high-tech production environment.
Ability to identify and address production bottlenecks and process inefficiencies.
Quality Control & Compliance:
