Key Accountabilities:

• Product Strategy - Collaborate with product managers to develop and refine product strategies aligned with business objectives and market trends in the FinTech industry.
• Requirements Gathering - Conduct market research, gather customer feedback, and analyse user data to identify opportunities and define product requirements.
• Product Planning - Develop detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide the development team in building innovative and customer-centric solutions.
• Agile Development - Work closely with engineering teams in an agile environment to prioritize features, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of product increments.
• User Experience - Champion the user experience by collaborating with designers to create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces that enhance usability and drive engagement.
• Quality Assurance - Conduct thorough testing and validation of product features to ensure they meet quality standards and deliver a seamless user experience
• Documentation - Create comprehensive product documentation, including user guides, release notes, and training materials, to support internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Management - Communicate product updates, milestones, and dependencies effectively to stakeholders across the organization, fostering transparency and alignment.

Qualifications, experience and skills:Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in product management, product development, or a related role, preferably in the FinTech industry.
• Have worked directly or indirectly in financial services, including banking, payments, lending, and investment products.
• Certification in product management (e.g., CSPO, PMP) and/or experience with user story writing would be valuable.

Skills

• Deep Understanding of FinTech : A solid grasp of the FinTech landscape, including trends, regulations, and emerging technologies, is essential. Knowledge of financial products such as banking, payments, lending, and investments, along with an understanding of relevant compliance and security standards, will be beneficial
• Product Management : Strong product management skills, including the ability to define product vision, develop product roadmaps, and prioritize features based on customer needs and business objectives, are required. Possession of certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Product Management Professional (PMP) would be advantageous
• User-Centric Design : An appreciation for user-centered design principles and a focus on delivering intuitive, user-friendly experiences is important. Familiarity with UX/UI design concepts and tools, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with design teams, will be beneficial
• Technical Aptitude : While not necessarily a requirement to code, a basic understanding of software development concepts and technologies, such as APIs, databases, and cloud computing, is advantageous. This knowledge enables effective communication with engineering teams and facilitates the translation of technical requirements into actionable product features
• Adaptability and Resilience : The ability to adapt to changing priorities, navigate ambiguity, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is essential. Resilience in the face of challenges and setbacks, coupled with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, is key to success in this role
• Agile Methodologies : Proficiency in agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, or other iterative development frameworks, is crucial. The ability to effectively participate in agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, is essential for driving product development in a fast-paced environment.
