SynopsisThis role reports to the Project Manager. The Product Owner is responsible for the support and maintenance of e-Enabling applications along with end-to-end delivery of technology projects from the planning and requirements phase to project delivery and closure while ensuring the project delivers significant business value. Time, budget and quality are key performance indicators of delivery. The projects will be delivered using a modern waterfall or agile methodology.The Product Owner will work closely with multiple stakeholders, including the business and will act as liaison between all teams by preparing and attending project status meetings and steering committees.AccountibiltiesProvide technical and functional consultancy and guidance to Engineering, Flight Operations, Flight Safety and Aviation Security dealing within the aircraft e-Enabling technology area.Implementation of Boeing and Airbus e-Enabling solutions that meet customer requirements. Ensure that the design is robust, appropriate and of high quality and conforming to corporate standards and in line with the technical strategy.Coordinate with architecture team to ensure that the final architecture/solution meets the service level requirements in terms of expected availability, capacity, continuity, security, performance and reliability.AccountabilitiesCollaborate with other IT Technology Teams, Flight Operations, Aviation Security and Engineering for implementation and support of e-Enabling applications.Provide guidance to business analysts, architects for requirement capturing, solution definition and technical design of implementation of OEM supplied solutions. These are to be delivered as per agreed costs and timescales to meet signed off functional, technical and process requirements.Ensure that incidents are resolved within the agreed Service Levels and problems are defined and analysed in line with the Problem Management Process. Ensure that solutions to problems meet the architectural and security standards within the technology area and impact to the business is minimised. Own & manage changes within the Technology Area.Publish and maintain high quality documentation for the implementation and post implementation support. Working within the standard templates and documentation guidelines which includes detailed design, configuration details, support procedures, operations manuals and deployment architecture.Responsible for the on time and on budget delivery of projects, within agreed scope and quality measuresResponsible for the benefits realisation of all projects managed Develop and maintain the overall project plan consistent with project objectives as defined by the business .Lead the project team in scoping activities to identify, capture and analyse requirements, define key business drivers and oversee the delivery of an effective and innovative solution .Identify critical stakeholders and create a stakeholder management plan, to manage the relationship between teams successfully .Ensure regular and accurate communication to stakeholders, by distributing minutes of meeting, project status updates and project documentation .Work with Business Analysts to manage scope and change control Proactively manage project financials and work with the Strategic Supplier & Cost Optimisation Lead to drive efficiencies .Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, dependences and assumptions, and support the team in providing solutions and escalations when needed .Report on the status of project delivery using agreed reporting metrics .Work with the PMO to ensure alignment with governance, best practices, standards and processes for waterfall delivery .Establish, coordinate and maintain relations with third party suppliers and vendors that are supporting project delivery to ensure on time delivery Support in post implementation activities including documenting lessons learnt and the project closure report and monitoring of benefits realisationEducation & Experience3 years of experience in project management using waterfall and agile delivery methodology .Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent is mandatory .Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE 2 or equivalent is beneficial .Proficient in using Microsoft Office Project and Project Portfolio Management tools .Knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment .Evaluate and address complex project risks and issues accurately and objectively .Effective interpersonal skills including collaborating, team building, and communication skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills with an ability to manage competing demands .Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) is required .Expertise in Windows and Unix/Linux servers along with PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL databases is requiredKnowledge of server administration, windows networking is required.About Etihad AirwaysEtihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, was formed in 2003 and quickly went on to become one of the worlds leading airlines.
