Job Description

Job Summary :

The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the procurement process, sourcing materials and services, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of quality products at competitive prices. This role includes supplier evaluation, contract negotiations, inventory management, cost control, and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities :

• Procurement Planning : Develop procurement strategies, collaborate with internal departments, and forecast procurement needs.
• Supplier Management : Identify and evaluate suppliers, maintain relationships, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Sourcing & Negotiation : Conduct market research, negotiate contracts, and secure favorable terms with suppliers.
• Purchase Order Management : Manage purchase orders, ensure timely delivery, and resolve discrepancies.
• Inventory & Cost Control : Monitor inventory levels, manage stock, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Quality Assurance : Ensure purchased products meet quality standards, resolve quality issues with suppliers.
• Compliance & Reporting : Ensure compliance with regulations, maintain procurement records, and provide regular reports.
• Collaboration & Continuous Improvement : Work closely with internal teams and improve procurement processes.

Qualifications :

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Experience : 3-5 years in procurement or sourcing, preferably within the UAE in Sourcing and trading segment like HOreca and Facilities Management.
• Skills :
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and market trends in UAE.

Preferred :

• Certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or CPP.
• Knowledge of Arabic is highly preferred.

Key Interactions :

• Internal : Finance, Warehouse, Logistics, Sales, and Marketing teams.
• External : Suppliers, regulatory authorities, and logistics providers.

Other Requirements :

• Willingness to travel within UAE and GCC.
• Valid driver's license in UAE.
