We are hiring successful candidate for the role of Procurement & Supply Chain Manager (API Machine Shop Products & ASME Fabrication Unit) in reputed Oil & Gas equipment's manufacturing company (UAE).
Manages and directs the purchasing of all the goods and services a company needs. Strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers. Oversee and manage every stage of the production flow, from purchasing the raw materials to the delivery of the final product.
Experience / familiar exposure on API 6A, 16A, 16C, 5CT & 7-1 products.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Qualify the supplier as per Drilltech procedure
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
• Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
• Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
• Precede qualified purchase requisitions, including implementation for Demand / supply plans, and efficiently working with emergency situations.
• Monitor the supplier performance
• Maintain the Approved vendor list and plan accordingly for supplier audit along with Quality team
• Maintain supply chain inventory and records
• Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes
• Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards
• Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable deals
• Develops appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.
• Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Directs and coordinates global supply chain functions through strategy, resource optimization, profitability maximization, and KPIs resulting in the maximization of customer satisfaction.
• Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.
• Works directly with sales department to determine most cost-effective distribution solution for finished goods transportation to customers.
• Monitors and corrects inventory levels at outside warehouses and internally to ensure rotation and maximize working capital.
• Works with freight forwards and transportation companies to set best route and rate
• Participate proactively and contribute to create, maintain and update the Supply Forecast on line with Demand forecast, to ensure 100% of suppliers' accountability is been held and, confirming highest implementation and accuracy.
• Maintain continuous assessment, evaluation and recommend improvements for buying practices to maintain Suppliers' performance, costs and delivery at acceptable and desired level.
• Optimize and source new suppliers/vendors dynamically within current and anticipated levels of activities, withfull compliance for current rules.
• Perform any other various duties that may be assigned by manager within the physical constraints of the job.
• Plan and implement logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met
• Oversee product storage, handling and distribution
• Work on forecasts and inventories, keeping an accurate record of the process and analysing performance
• Manage the costs involved while maintaining quality
• Ensure you're aware of exactly what is happening throughout the supply chain
• Manage and motivate a team of supply chain staff
• Improve the overall supply chain performance and look for any possible innovations to the process
• Develop new and existing relationships with suppliers
• Manage and minimise the risks (for example operational or reputational) that could affect or interrupt the supply chain
• Consider the environmental impact of the supply chain in order to meet sustainability targets
• Monitor logistics to make sure they run smoothly
• Maintain supply chain inventory and records
• Train and guide employees
• Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes
• Resolve issues that come up (e.g. delays in delivery, accidents)
• Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth
• Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable deals
• Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely manner
• AUTHORITY:
• Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
• To report any unsafe behaviors to immediate Supervisor, safety representative and for conflicts directly communication to HSE Personnel.
• Authority on HSEQ grounds to stop operations or delivery of product on the existence of an immediate risk of harm to personnel or environmental pollution and damage to property.
• To negotiate prices with suppliers
• Supplier Selection, planning, Ordering, servicing of manufacturing department requirements.
• Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
• ACCOUNTABILITY:
• To ensure all materials has been purchased and delivered to the workshop.
• Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards
• REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Excellent oral and written skills in English language.
• Proficient in MS Office applications with strong Excel skills.
• Extensive knowledge of products.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills
• Well organized & a result achiever.
• Preferably with relevant experience in procuring for a large manufacturing organization, ideally related to the Oil & Gas industry.
• Ability to work closely with engineering to increase inventory substitution, maintaining better analysis for cost and delivery.
