Job Brief:

Are you experienced in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, products, and services? Then you are the one we are looking for.

The Procurement Executive will ensure that purchased items meet our quality standards, are delivered on time, and are obtained at the best possible cost.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and conduct performance reviews.
• Establish strategic relationships and potential partnerships for agency or distributor agreements.
• Research and identify the best sources for required products and services. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure favorable conditions. Place and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and quality of goods.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and ensure adequate supply. Collaborate with warehouse teams for proper storage and handling of goods.
• Analyze market trends to forecast purchasing needs and plan budgets. Implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining product quality. Monitor and report on purchasing costs to ensure budget adherence.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, laws, and regulations. Maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing. Prepare and present regular procurement reports and establish agreements with suppliers.
• Coordinate with logistics providers for timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. Manage transportation and resolve logistics issues to minimize delays and costs.
• Work with other departments (e.g., production, finance, logistics) to integrate procurement activities with organizational needs. Assist in resolving procurement-related issues such as delays or quality concerns.
• Interpret technical specifications and drawings for procurement decisions. Evaluate the quality and suitability of engineering materials and equipment.
• Research and develop new technologies or improvements to enhance product efficiency and quality. Establish and manage strategic relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Maintain integrity and ethical conduct in all procurement activities. Commit to transparency and fairness in dealings with suppliers and stakeholders.

Required Qualification / Experience / Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Min 5 experience in procurement in the maritime or ship repair industry.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management and procurement processes.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
• Ability to analyze market trends and make informed purchasing decisions.
• Ability to understand and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
• Capability to evaluate the quality and suitability of engineering materials and equipment.
• Strong sense of integrity and ethical conduct in all procurement activities.
• Commitment to transparency and fairness in dealings with suppliers and stakeholders.

Job Location: Dubai

Type of Employment: Permanent / Full time

Salary: AED 5000 - 7000/ Month
