The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing procurement processes, supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. Fluency in Arabic is highly preferred to support communication and negotiations with local suppliers.Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Operations: Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, purchase order management, and timely delivery of goods/services.
Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, including local and regional suppliers, ensuring compliance with company standards and contract terms.
Contract Negotiations: Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure favorable agreements that align with company objectives and budgets.
Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities are compliant with internal policies and relevant regulations.
Cost Optimization: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or delivery timelines.
Procurement Strategy: Collaborate with the Procurement Manager to develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business needs.
Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze procurement metrics to ensure supplier performance and operational efficiency.
Risk Management: Proactively manage risks associated with the supply chain, including identifying potential disruptions and developing mitigation strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (finance, legal, operations) to ensure procurement activities align with the overall business strategy.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, spend analysis, and supplier performance to be presented to senior management.
Qualifications:
Experience: 6-7 years of experience in procurement operations, preferably within the Middle East region.
Language: Arabic proficiency is highly preferred, with strong English communication skills (both verbal and written).
Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Knowledge: Familiarity with procurement best practices, local and international supplier markets, and contract management.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on cost savings and operational efficiency.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Preferred Skills:
Previous experience in managing procurement for large-scale projects or in industries such as construction, transportation, or utilities.
Familiarity with government procurement regulations in the Middle East.
Certification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) is a plus.
