JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Extensive experience in local purchase of electrical goods i.e. lighting, wiring devices etc
• Must have an excellent working knowledge of MS Office i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point
• Must have an excellent relationship with Freight forwarders and knowledge of INCO terms
• Must have an excellent knowledge of local and export laws pertaining to sourcing & supply of goods
• Working knowledge and an excellent understanding of Stock management
• Understanding of Profit & Loss statement, especially the impact of stock ageing analysis on company profit
• Local knowledge of UAE traders/suppliers/vendors is essential
• Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
• Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
• Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
• Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
• Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
• Overseeing and managing the software systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
• Preparing procurement reports.
• Stock ageing analysis & action plan to manage stocks below the agreed threshold value of the company
• Ensure Customer Satisfaction towards an On-Time-Delivery of materials
• Ensure the Committed On-Time-Delivery requirements are consistently met.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management/BE. Electricals/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 3-4 years of experience in purchasing electrical products from various sources locally and internationally.
• Proven experience managing supply chain operations/Procurements
• Experience using procurement software and tools
• In depth Knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing and negotiation terms.
• Working knowledge and an excellent understanding of Stock management
