Job & responsibilities & qualtification
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the specific needs of construction,
• Market Survey, Identify, evaluate, and select vendors based on quality, cost, reliability, and compliance with project specifications from local and international Market.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure advantageous terms for all kinds of materials.
• Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure adherence to contractual agreements and project timelines.
• Conduct market survey to stay informed of market trends, new products, and industry developments.
• Maintain and update procurement records, databases, and documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other internal stakeholders to understand and meet their procurement needs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and regulatory guidelines specific to the construction industry.
• Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and performance metrics.
• Preparing comparison sheets for the quotations received for the specific packages (apple to apple).
• Negotiate prices to be in line with market and budget prices.
• Preparing contracts to subcontractor/ supplier, if necessary.
• Preparing the cover letter including technical & commercial Terms and Conditions.
• Compiling all final submitted documents for easy access in future.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Procurement Engineer or any equivalent field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement within the construction industry / Building Material preferably in local and foreign Market.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
• Proficiency in procurement software such as QuickBooks, Material Tracker and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations and standards specific to construction.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
