Job Description

DescriptionDuties:Procurement Operations & Sourcing:Identify, evaluate, and source materials, equipment, and subcontractor services required for construction projects. Manage RFQs, tenders, and supplier negotiations to secure the best value. Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials, coordinating closely with project teams and suppliers. Maintain and update the approved supplier and subcontractor database.Supplier & Vendor Management:Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contract conditions to optimize procurement costs. Evaluate supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and delivery standards. Escalate supplier disputes, delivery issues, and non-conformance cases.Procurement Compliance & Documentation:Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, local regulations, and contractual obligations. Prepare and maintain accurate purchase orders, contracts, and procurement reports. Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for audits and internal reviews.Cost Control & Optimization:Analyse market trends and pricing to develop cost-effective procurement strategies. Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality and project deadlines. Work closely with finance and project teams to align procurement with budget constraints.Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination:Coordinate with logistics providers and suppliers to ensure smooth import/export and on-time delivery. Monitor inventory levels and recommend stock replenishment strategies where needed. Address potential supply chain risks and propose mitigation strategies.The candidate:
  • Bachelorxc2xb4s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field. Certification in Procurement or Purchasing is advantageous.
  • 6+ years of experience in procurement in the construction or contracting industry.
  • Proficiency in procurement best practices, vendor negotiations, and contract management.
  • Familiarity with UAE/local procurement regulations and import/export procedures.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple procurement tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to interact and build relationships with suppliers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
