We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer with a strong technical background, ideally within the Firefighting industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing our procurement activities, ensuring efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to maintain security of supply and optimum value for money.
• Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
• Control the procurement budget and promote a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
• Oversee and manage the procurement of all goods and services, ensuring compliance with company and legal standards.
• Collaborate with key persons to ensure the clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
• Conduct cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any supply issues.
Qualifications:
• Proven working experience as a procurement officer.
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.
• Talent in negotiations and networking.
• Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software.
• Preferably with experience in the Fire fighting equipment
• Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
• Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
• BSc degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or relevant field.
Requirements :
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
