Job Description

We are looking for an efficient PROCUREMENT OFFICER (Plant & Workshop) who will be responsible for evaluating suppliers, products, and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality.Tasks:\xc2\xb7 Identify potential vendors/suppliers, gather, and analyse information on them; recommend prospective vendors to Management.\xc2\xb7 Conduct market research to ascertain the best products and services in terms of value, delivery schedule and quality.\xc2\xb7 Obtain cost estimates for materials, supplies, and services\xc2\xb7 Generate inquiries and conduct meetings with suppliers/subcontractors\xc2\xb7 Evaluate bids and make recommendations based on commercial and technical factors\xc2\xb7 Negotiate pricing contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to get low costs or competitive pricing and to secure advantageous terms\xc2\xb7 Organize purchase request forms, communication between company and supplier, bid evaluation forms and purchase orders and other relevant files\xc2\xb7 Monitor contracts progress, regularly checking the quality of product or service provided\xc2\xb7 Maintain records of approved suppliers and periodically evaluate vendor performance (e.g., conformance with stated requirements, trends, anomalies)\xc2\xb7 Regularly review the subcontractors\xe2\x80\x99 procurement progress, the scope of work and commercial terms\xc2\xb7 Develop and implement strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels\xc2\xb7 Comply with overall organizational processes to ensure internal approvals are obtained in accordance with approved procurement policies and the Authority\xc2\xb7 Forecast level of demand for services and products to meet business needs of the client\xc2\xb7 Forecast price trends and their impacts on future activities\xc2\xb7 Monitor business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times\xc2\xb7 Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks\xc2\xb7 Coordinate with the Finance department to ensure accurate and timely payments of invoices\xc2\xb7 Enter order details (e.g., vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases\xc2\xb7 Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses\xc2\xb7 Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed\xc2\xb7 Perform other related work-related tasks as per Line ManagerRequirements:\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field\xc2\xb7 5-7 years of proven work experience as a Procurement Officer (Plant and Workshop) in Construction Industry\xc2\xb7 Excellent communications and negotiation skills with suppliers and internal customers\xc2\xb7 Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors)\xc2\xb7 Hands-on experience with purchasing software\xc2\xb7 Understanding of supply chain procedures\xc2\xb7 Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses\xc2\xb7 Negotiation skillsLocation: Abu DhabiSalary: Competitive packagePlease submit the resume to foundationcareer2018(at)gmail(dot)comJob Type: Full-timePay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per monthEducation:
