The Procurement Officer responsibilities include evaluating suppliers, maintaining relationships, approving products, and ensuring the cost-effective procurement of materials or goods.1. Discuss and Develop the Procurement strategy with the Team Leader in order to select the appropriate vendors to suit the Clients requirements;2. Research, evaluate and shortlist vendors based on quality, service, reliability, competitiveness and their reputation;3. Prepare comparison sheets for Suppliers quotes;4. Contact Suppliers for product information, pricing, availability, lead time, returns;5. Prepare the Inquiry Form to be shared with selected suppliers to include all requirements (Technical, Commercial, Incoterms, Warranty, Delivery, Validity, Type of Certificate, etc...);6. Prepare the tabulation based on received offers with all techno-commercial details and clarifications;7. Obtain recommendations from suppliers for substitute items, if and when required;8. Prepare purchase orders to be placed with the selected vendors;9. Place P/Orders and maintain a close follow up on its progress;10. Work with other departments in Operations & Logistics to ensure timely shipments and delivery of goods to clients;11. Update internal databases with order details (dates, Suppliers, quantities, discounts payment, order status);12. Submit weekly report covering all activities undertaken and duties completed.13. Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
University Graduate with bachelors degree in chemical and mechanical engineer;
Minimum 2 years of Experience in the Oil & Gas industry;
Fluency in written and spoken English;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
Strong communication and negotiation skills;
Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
