Avea Contracting LLC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to manage and coordinate the purchasing activities for our projects. This position is crucial to ensuring the timely acquisition of materials, equipment, and services at the best value while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify, source, and procure materials, equipment, and services as per project requirements.
2. Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing, favorable terms, and timely delivery.
3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
4. Prepare purchase orders and ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
5. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with project teams to forecast material needs.
6. Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery to project sites.
7. Evaluate supplier performance regularly and suggest improvements.
8. Resolve issues related to quality, delivery delays, or other procurement challenges.
9. Stay updated on market trends and new products relevant to the construction industry.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the construction or contracting industry.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of procurement software and tools is an advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with local and international suppliers and markets.
