The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our dynamic team in the FMCG Manufacturing & Trading industry in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the procurement process, ensuring that our organization acquires goods and services at the best possible prices while maintaining quality standards. This position requires strong negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and an understanding of supply chain management to support our operational goals effectively. Responsibilities: - Develop and implement procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and aligned with the overall business objectives. - Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities; maintain and enhance supplier relationships to ensure optimal performance. - Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, quality, and delivery timelines. - Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify potential sourcing opportunities and risks. - Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and finance, to forecast demand and ensure timely procurement of materials and services. - Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, supplier performance, and purchase orders, using appropriate software tools. - Conduct regular supplier assessments and audits to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards. - Assist in developing and maintaining procurement budgets, tracking expenditures, and reporting on variances to management. - Support sustainability initiatives by sourcing eco-friendly products and services that align with corporate social responsibility goals.



Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS, APICS) are a plus. - Minimum of 3 to 6 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the FMCG sector. - Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of successfully managing supplier contracts and relationships. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. - Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders. - Understanding of relevant laws and regulations affecting procurement in the UAE and the broader GCC region. - A proactive and self-motivated individual who is committed to continuous improvement and professional development.
