About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services, ensuring that all purchasing activities align with company policies, cost-saving objectives, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
• Source, negotiate, and procure materials, equipment, and services in line with project requirements and company policies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services.
• Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
• Manage the tendering process, including preparing requests for quotations (RFQs), evaluating bids, and awarding contracts.
• Monitor and control the procurement budget, ensuring cost-effective purchasing decisions.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, financial, and company procurement regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers, finance, and logistics, to ensure smooth procurement operations.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and agreements for audit and reporting purposes.
• Analyse market trends and supplier conditions to identify new opportunities for cost reduction and improved sourcing strategies.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of procurement experience, preferably within construction, engineering, or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Understanding of local and international procurement regulations and procedures.
Desirable:
• Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS or equivalent).
• Experience working in the UAE or Gulf region.
