Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and develop strategies to meet those needs effectively.
  • Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to forecast procurement requirements and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
  • Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Process purchase orders and ensure that all procurement activities are documented and tracked accurately.
  • Monitor order fulfillment and resolve any issues related to discrepancies or delays.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the procurement process, including supplier risks and market volatility.
  • Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize spending.
  • Monitor budgetary constraints and ensure procurement activities remain within budget.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including supplier information, contracts, and purchase orders.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports to management, highlighting key metrics and performance indicators.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, PMP) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of procurement experience in the oil and gas industry, with a proven track record in managing complex procurement projects and supplier relationships.
  • In-depth understanding of procurement processes, contract law, and industry regulations specific to the oil and gas sector.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
