Procurement Officer - Immediate Joiner - UAE Maintenance and construction background

• Comply with Procurement Schedules for the purchase of equipment, services, and materials
• Coordinate transportation of materials to sites.
• Create and maintain good relationships with all vendors/suppliers
• Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply and pricing options to generate quote comparison sheets
• Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts
• Obtain samples for finishes, materials, etc.
• Obtain quotes from material suppliers, installers, and other service providers
• Material take offs from drawings and BOQs
• Follow up on payments, delivery notes, and invoices
• Ensure all purchased items are delivered promptly
• Work with Managers and Supervisors in order to fulfill job duties, as needed.
• General Administration including maintaining complete and accurate records
• Maintain and update supplier information such as track record, experience, product lines, etc.
• Maintain records of all purchases, pricing, and other important data
• Create Purchase Requisitions

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree
• Diploma in Purchasing / Procurement or equivalent will be an added advantage
• Minimum4 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a Procurement Officer or a related position
• Experience in the construction and maintenance industry
• Knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policies, and systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel etc.)
• Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
• Attention to detail
• Goal-oriented, organized, team player
