We are looking for a proactive Procurement Officer to manage sourcing, vendor relationships, and material procurement for joinery and furniture production.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify, source, and procure raw materials such as wood, veneers, MDF, hardware, paints, and laminates for joinery and furniture production.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, timely delivery, and quality compliance.
• Develop and maintain an approved vendor list, regularly evaluating supplier performance based on quality, pricing, and reliability.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements to secure favorable deals for the company.
• Monitor material and tool stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure materials align with project timelines and specifications.
• Work within budget constraints and identify opportunities for cost savings and procurement efficiency.
• Analyze procurement costs regularly to optimize spending.
• Ensure all materials meet technical specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements for joinery projects.
• Maintain compliance with UAE's legal, environmental, and safety regulations.
• Prepare accurate purchase orders (POs) and maintain procurement documentation.
• Provide regular performance reports, including cost analysis and supplier evaluations.
• Liaise with project managers, production teams, and supervisors to forecast material needs and align procurement schedules with production goals.
• Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery of materials to factories or project sites.
Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of joinery materials, suppliers, and market trends in the UAE.
• Proven experience in procurement or supply chain roles, preferably in joinery or furniture manufacturing.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and MS Office tools.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a procurement role within the joinery, manufacturing, or construction sectors.
• Familiarity with UAE supplier networks and procurement practices.
• Ability to work in a factory-based environment.
