Role Overview: The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the procurement activities, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to support the fund's operational and strategic goals. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy encompassing policies, procedures, and best practices. Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers across diverse indirect categories (real estate, administration, fit-out, IT, etc.). Become a leader in negotiation, securing optimal value through exceptional tactics and fostering strong, collaborative supplier relationships. Drive cost savings through strategic sourcing, expert negotiation, and meticulous vendor management. Develop and implement cost-reduction initiatives, continuously optimizing procurement processes. Implement and maintain procurement software systems to streamline the purchasing process, ensuring maximum efficiency. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across departments. Clearly communicate procurement policies and procedures, ensuring adherence. Qualifications & Experience: You possess a minimum of 5+ years of progressive procurement experience with a demonstrably successful track record in a similar role. You have a deep understanding of indirect procurement categories, encompassing real estate, administration, fit-outs, and IT etc. Your negotiation skills are unmatched. You consistently secure the best value across diverse indirect categories, adeptly navigating any procurement challenge. Proficiency in procurement software systems and a firm grasp of procurement best practices are essential. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required to foster strong relationships and influence stakeholders with ease. A highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a proactive approach to problem-solving is ideal. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information with clarity are necessary. Experience in a fast-paced, growing environment.
