Job Title: Procurement Officer

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer/In charge with a strong background in the construction industry and specific knowledge of procurement practices in the UAE. The Procurement Officer will oversee the sourcing, purchasing, and negotiation of materials, equipment, and services essential for our projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing procurement processes efficiently, fostering supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective procurement strategies aligned with company objectives and project requirements.
• Identify and source reliable suppliers and vendors, ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, considering quality, price, delivery, and terms.
• Monitor and analyze market trends, supplier performance, and product availability.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and stakeholders to understand procurement needs and timelines.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels using procurement software.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and UAE procurement regulations.
• Resolve supplier issues and disputes promptly and professionally.
• Evaluate and onboard new suppliers based on quality standards and capabilities.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or similar role in the construction industry, with specific experience in the UAE.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
• Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
• Experience working with local suppliers and knowledge of UAE market dynamics.
• Familiarity with construction materials and equipment sourcing.
