We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process for all campuses within our group of schools, ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services at the best possible value.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies and plans to meet the needs of all campuses. Collaborate with school administrators and department heads to forecast procurement requirements.
Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements to secure the best value for the school.
Purchasing Operations: Oversee the entire purchasing process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with school policies and procedures. Prepare purchase orders, monitor delivery schedules, and manage inventory levels.
Budget Management: Monitor and manage procurement budgets for each campus, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial efficiency. Provide regular reports on procurement activities and expenditures.
Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and compliance of all procured goods and services with school standards. Address and resolve any issues related to product quality or delivery.
Policy Development: Develop and update procurement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and control. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all procurement activities, including contracts, invoices, and purchase orders.
Collaboration: Work closely with the finance and administration teams to ensure seamless coordination of procurement activities. Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss procurement needs and challenges.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the education sector.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations and standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism.
