Our client is looking to hire an experienced Procurement Manager, who will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring the availability of necessary materials, equipment, and supplies for the healthcare facility. This includes analyzing market trends, negotiating contracts, and overseeing purchasing operations to meet current and future demands.Key Responsibilities:- Research potential suppliers and products for best value, quality, and delivery schedules.- Analyze market and delivery systems to assess material availability.- Develop and implement purchasing policies, procedures, and strategies.- Participate in the development of product specifications and substitute materials as needed.- Negotiate contracts, ensuring alignment with the companys objectives.- Administer online purchasing systems.- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.- Negotiate and monitor contracts, ensuring timely and quality service delivery.- Visit suppliers to verify product availability and contract terms.- Direct and coordinate activities of personnel involved in procurement and distribution.- Prepare bid awards requiring board approval.- Process requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier invoices.- Control the purchasing department budget and manage expenditure.- Prepare reports on market conditions, merchandise costs, and price trends.- Maintain accurate records of goods ordered and received.- Forecast demand levels for services and products to meet business needs.- Develop and produce purchasing reports using computer software.- Monitor stock levels and ensure sufficient inventory.- Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies.- Review purchase order claims and contracts for adherence to company policies.- Oversee the disposal of surplus materials and products.- Identify and mitigate risks in the procurement process.Requirements- Bachelors degree in a related field.- Minimum of 3 years experience as a purchasing agent or officer, preferably within a healthcare setting.- Experience with computerized supply chain systems, including familiarity with purchasing and inventory software.- Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.- Strong analytical, judgment, and decision-making abilities.- Organized and detail-oriented approach.- Proficient in time management and able to work under pressure.- Solid mathematical skills for working with figures and budgets.- Strong business acumen and leadership capabilities.- Ability to supervise and train staff effectively.Benefits- Attractive salary + Benefits
