Position Overview: Job Summary:
Responsible for sourcing and purchase of raw material, equipment, goods & services as per defined procedure and managing vendors to achieve best outcome in favour of organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Procurement Strategy and Planning:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Forecast demand for materials and products to support manufacturing operations.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and ensure competitiveness.
• Vendor Management:
• Identify and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and prices with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and service providers.
• Purchase Order Management:
• Process purchase orders based on production requirements and project timelines.
• Monitor the status of orders and ensure timely delivery to avoid production delays.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Cost Control and Budget Management:
• Maintain procurement budgets and ensure that purchases stay within financial limits.
• Analyze costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenses without compromising quality.
• Work with the finance team to track expenditures and provide reports on procurement activities.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure all procured materials meet quality standards required for production and compliance.
• Perform regular audits and assessments of suppliers to maintain product integrity.
• Coordinate with the quality control team to address any issues related to supplier performance.
• Team Leadership and Development:
• Manage a team of procurement officers and provide training on procurement best practices.
• Supervise the daily operations of the procurement department and ensure high performance.
• Foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement within the procurement team.
• Risk Management and Compliance:
• Identify and mitigate risks in the procurement process (e.g., supplier disruptions, geopolitical factors).
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities and supplier contracts.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in the oil and gas or manufacturing sector.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Knowledge of procurement software and supply chain management systems.
• Familiarity with international trade regulations, contracts, and industry standards.
