Job Title:Procurement ManagerLocation: Dubai, AEEmployment Type:PermanentAs the Procurement and Planning Manager, the role will be responsible to create, implement and manage the infrastructure of negotiating and liaising with local and international suppliers/vendors and ensuring optimum levels of stocks and services are in place for business continuity. Main objective of the role for the first year would be to develop robust procurement sourcing strategies that are both cost-effective and advantageous ensuring long-term success whilst demonstrating agreeable cost savings by the year end ensuring overall operational profitability.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build and spearhead the Procurement and Demand Planning team to ensure Procurement Strategy is efficient and responsive in supporting the business and stakeholders needs,
Create and implement all related S&OPs pertaining to the Procurement and Demand Planning Department related activities including all internal and external stakeholders.
Strengthen relationship with existing suppliers and vendors; creating new relationships with reliable suppliers that add value to product and services spread
Work closely with the Category Management team; support them by obtaining best prices and trade deals though negotiations with the assigned Suppliers
Ensure competitive pricing, trade discounts, delivery schedules and SLAs are in agreement with key suppliers leading to cost effective operations
Analyse and monitor Sales records, market trends, weather/ seasons and economic conditions to forecast consumer-buying patterns and determine inventory efficiency.
Liaise closely with Category Management and Sales team to collate information about customer specific needs and preferences; liaise with them to create an optimum stock level plan and avoid any excess or shortages of stocks; ensure ideal stock levels is available at any time
Manage and review forecast on monthly basis; monitor stock levels are at optimum levels; Responsible for overseeing stock aging and escalate as and when required.
Have robust demand and supply reviews with all related stakeholders that incorporate product lifecycle plans.
Review and analyze daily, weekly, quarterly and yearly inventory and profitability reports.
Any other duties / projects assigned by the General Manager from time to time to meet business needs
