This position involves leading the procurement team in charge of the source to pay cycle, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of supply chain management principles. The Procurement Manager should spear head compliance efforts with procurement policies, negotiating contracts, and optimizing procurement processes to support organizational objectives. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Accountability:
Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the companys operational requirements and financial goals
Implement procurement best practices and procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Prepare and present reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and other key metrics to management.
Monitor supplier performance and quality, and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
Analyze market trends, pricing, and supply chain risks to make informed procurement decisions.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
Approving Purchase orders and Proposals
Ensure the team is complying with the companys policy for all purchases
Ensure Seamless communication and interaction between procurement team and other teams.
Lead the team to achieve the companys procurement strategic goals
Ensure P2P cycle is done timely and right
Decision Making:
Ensure alignment of commercial activities with organizational goals.
Determine the approach for fostering and maintaining strong relationships with clients/customers.
This position is empowered to make decisions within standard operating procedures and Invictus policies and procedures.
Decisions outside of this scope are to be escalated to the Manager, Head of Department.
This role is expected to follow management instructions and uphold Invictus Code of Conduct, Policies and Procedures, Charters.
Key relationships:
Engage closely with internal teams to understand and fulfill business requirements, ensuring seamless procurement support
Regularly interact with management to provide updates on procurement status, address concerns, and contribute insights to strategic decision-making
Build and foster strong cross functional relationships
Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating terms, addressing concerns, and ensuring a reliable supply chain.
Qualification and experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field or Master's degree in Business Administration or a relevant discipline.
CIPS Qualification
9 - 10 years of advancing experience in procurement or a related field, 4 years managing a team (with a preference for expertise in FMCG)
Proven track record in leading the execution of procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management
Experience with international procurement, including knowledge of Incoterms and import/export regulations
Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
