Job description
• Bachelor's Degree: Typically in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master's Degree (Optional): Advanced degrees such as an MBA or a Master's in Construction Management can be beneficial.
• Industry Experience: 5-10 years of experience in procurement As Manager, with a significant portion in the civil construction industry.
• Project Experience: Experience in managing procurement for large-scale construction projects, understanding of the supply chain for construction materials, equipment, and services.
Skills and Competencies:
• Understanding of construction materials, methods, and technologies.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and legal aspects of procurement.
• Knowledge of quality standards and compliance requirements in construction.
• Strategic sourcing and supplier management.
• Negotiation and contract management.
• Cost control and budgeting.
• Knowledge of procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards).
• Ability to manage timelines, resources, and stakeholders.
• Risk management and problem-solving skills.
• Coordination with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance.

Job Responsibilities:
• Identify and evaluate suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts and terms.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Develop and manage budgets.
• Monitor costs and implement cost-saving strategies.
• Draft, review, and manage contracts.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
• Conduct performance evaluations and manage supplier risks.
• Manage inventory levels to ensure project needs are met without overstocking.
• Coordinate logistics and transportation for timely delivery.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site managers.

• Prepare reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
