Mark Williams is currently looking for a Procurement Manager to join a large holding company in Abu Dhabi.
:
- Support the centralized procurement function responsible for consolidated purchasing of goods and services (e.g., fixed/capital assets, leased assets, services, supplies, travel, etc.), while continuously identifying and implementing cost saving/containment ideas - Monitor business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times - Develop and implement strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels - Perform all necessary analysis demonstrating ROI on initiatives and sourcing relationships, and present findings to executive management - Coordinate and support of financial systems and processes that the procurement function utilizes including purchasing systems, account payable and fixed assets - Maintain excellent relationships with current and prospective vendors, conduct due diligence and analysis on prospective vendor relationships, and develop long-term alliances - Ensure the integration of e-sourcing systems and other procurement systems by monitoring staff utilization of these tools - Ensure the effective delivery of all agreed services to internal and external customers at the required standards - Develop a cooperative, supportive and committed work culture within the team
Requirements:
- Bachelor\'s degree in logistics, supply chain management and business management or equivalent from a recognized educational institution - 6+ years of experience in a similar position in events environment, preferably within the construction/tourism/hospitality/marine/ destination marketing / or retail industry - Experience in liaising with suppliers, clients, stakeholders and internal teams and managing suppliers - Excellent interpersonal negotiation skills and written and spoken English (Arabic will be an advantage) - Experience in managing staff and the ability to multi-task - Extensive experience with financial systems that support the procurement function - Strong skill set with Excel, Access, and other software tools - Familiar with any purchasing software
