Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Procurement Lead to join our dynamic
team in Dubai. The Procurement Lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing the
procurement activities related to our building construction projects. The ideal candidate will have
extensive experience in the construction industry, a strong understanding of supply chain
management, and the ability to develop and implement effective procurement strategies to
ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement Strategy & Planning
? Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with project
requirements and company goals.
? Identify and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement
efficiency and effectiveness.
? Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to forecast procurement needs and
develop a procurement plan.
2. Supplier Management
? Identify, evaluate, and pre-qualify suppliers and subcontractors to build a reliable and
cost-effective supply chain.
? Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable terms and
pricing.
? Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure
consistent quality and service.
3. Contract Management & Compliance
? Prepare and manage procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with local regulations
and company policies.
? Monitor supplier performance to ensure contract terms are met, including delivery
schedules and quality standards.
? Manage any disputes or issues with suppliers and resolve them promptly and effectively.
4. Cost Control & Budget Management
? Monitor and control procurement costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and
value engineering.
? Ensure procurement activities are aligned with the project budget and financial
objectives.
? Provide regular reports and analysis on procurement performance and cost efficiency.
5. Risk Management & Quality Assurance
? Assess and mitigate procurement-related risks to avoid project delays and cost overruns.
? Ensure that all materials and services meet the required quality standards and project
specifications.
? Implement corrective actions when quality issues or non-compliance arise.
Qualifications & Experience:
? Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or a
related field.
? Minimum 8-10 years of procurement experience in the building construction industry,
preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
? Strong understanding of construction materials, subcontracting, and local market
dynamics.
? Proven experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
? Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
? Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems
