Prepare Request for Proposals/Quotations (RFPs/RFQs) and evaluate vendor responses.
Prepare comparison statements and conduct negotiations with suppliers.
Issue purchase orders and contracts (LPO/Agreements) in accordance with project needs.
Sourcing and Vendor Management:
Identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities and offerings.
Maintain supplier relationships and manage performance to ensure adherence to project requirements and timelines.
Negotiation and Contract Management:
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
Ensure all contracts are reviewed and approved in compliance with company policies.
Purchase Order Processing:
Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions to maintain adequate inventory levels and meet project schedules.
Cost and Inventory Management:
Monitor procurement costs and manage expenditures within budgetary limits.
Oversee inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Ensure materials and services meet project specifications and quality standards.
Maintain documentation of procurement activities and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Collaboration:
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.
Coordinate procurement activities to support project milestones and objectives.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Procurement Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management practices.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CIPS, CPSM).
Experience with ERP systems for procurement (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
