Job Description

:Key Responsibilities:Procurement Management:
  • Prepare Request for Proposals/Quotations (RFPs/RFQs) and evaluate vendor responses.
  • Prepare comparison statements and conduct negotiations with suppliers.
  • Issue purchase orders and contracts (LPO/Agreements) in accordance with project needs.
Sourcing and Vendor Management:
  • Identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities and offerings.
  • Maintain supplier relationships and manage performance to ensure adherence to project requirements and timelines.
Negotiation and Contract Management:
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
  • Ensure all contracts are reviewed and approved in compliance with company policies.
Purchase Order Processing:
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions to maintain adequate inventory levels and meet project schedules.
Cost and Inventory Management:
  • Monitor procurement costs and manage expenditures within budgetary limits.
  • Oversee inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Ensure materials and services meet project specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain documentation of procurement activities and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Collaboration:
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.
  • Coordinate procurement activities to support project milestones and objectives.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CIPS, CPSM).
  • Experience with ERP systems for procurement (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
