Role Overview: We are looking for a passionate and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the steel or manufacturing industry. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services necessary for our operations. Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing and Supplier Management:
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers and address any issues that arise.
  • Purchasing and Negotiation:
  • Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Monitor market trends and supply chain developments to anticipate changes and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Collaborate with inventory management team to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Track and manage inventory to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
  • Implement and maintain accurate records of all procurement activities and transactions.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, including cost analyses and supplier performance evaluations.
  • Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation as required.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to enhance procurement efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement strategies and initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the steel or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations and practices.
