As a Buyer / procurement Office with experience in the Oil & Gas, Construction, IT, Defense, and Humanitarian Support
industries, you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the procurement of goods
and services critical to our operations. Your expertise in procurement, knowledge of industry-specific
requirements, and ability to negotiate effectively will be pivotal in ensuring the efficient supply of
materials and services to our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing and Procurement:
Identify reliable suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors within the Oil & Gas, Construction, IT, Defense,
and Humanitarian Support sectors.
Evaluate and negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing agreements.
Ensure the timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services to meet project and operational
needs.
Supplier Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.
Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and compliance with contracts.
Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers in a timely and effective manner.
Cost Control and Budgeting:
Collaborate with the finance team to establish and manage budgets for procurement activities.
Implement cost-saving strategies and seek opportunities to optimize procurement processes.
Compliance and Regulations:
Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations, standards, and safety requirements.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop risk mitigation strategies.
Continuously monitor market conditions and geopolitical factors that may impact procurement.
Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and technologies.
Analyze market trends and conditions to make informed procurement decisions.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, cost analysis, and supplier performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal departments, including operations, engineering, and project management, to
understand their procurement needs.
Ensure alignment between procurement and organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a buyer or procurement specialist in the Oil & Gas, Construction, IT, Defense, and
Humanitarian Support industries.
Strong knowledge of industry-specific procurement practices, regulations, and supplier networks.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Detail-oriented and organized, with strong problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with international procurement and import/export regulations is a plus.
