Premier Choice is a leading real estate development company in Dubai, Islamabad, and New York, specializing in the development of high-quality residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties. We have a demonstrated success in the industry across all asset classes having more than 5 million square feet of development through 25 projects across 4 countries.

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services necessary for our real estate development projects. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities to ensure that the company's procurement processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement Management

• Identify and evaluate suppliers, contractors, and vendors based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, and production and distribution capabilities.
• Negotiate contracts and purchase agreements with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Receive, qualify and evaluate all items that are purchased.
• Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure timely delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

2. Project Support

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to determine procurement needs and specifications.
• Assist in the preparation of project budgets and schedules, ensuring procurement aligns with project timelines and financial constraints.
• Manage and monitor project-related procurement activities, ensuring materials and services are delivered as needed.

3. Vendor Management

• Maintain and develop supplier relationships, ensuring a reliable supply chain for project needs.
• Conduct vendor assessments and performance evaluations.
• Resolve any issues or disputes with vendors, ensuring a smooth procurement process.

4. Cost Control and Analysis

• Conduct market research and cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and procurement efficiencies.
• Monitor and report on procurement metrics, costs, and savings.
• Implement cost control strategies and initiatives to optimize procurement spending.

5. Compliance and Documentation

• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, documentation, and databases.

6. Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the real estate or construction industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic softwares and ERP systems; strong knowledge of contract management and negotiation.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Planning and organizational expertise will be a key factor in evaluation of the candidate.
• Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance in procurement activities.
• Language: Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
