Managing vendors and suppliers by continuously monitoring, evaluating and improving supplier performance.
Maintain healthy relationship with the distributors.
Prepare and update regularly list of potential suppliers.
Organise technical qualification for potential supplier.
Material Management
Compile relevant tender document and issue RFQ.
To analyse offers, prepare technical /commercial comparison and review it with Procurement Manger.
Compliance
Coordinate with the material request initiators / engineers to ensure that materials to be purchased comply with specification and quantities are correct.
PO Creation
To negotiate and finalise the contracts and place the purchase order to source the most affordable materials for the company\'s manufacturing process.
Purchase Management
Responsible for Order Placement Timing.
Manage the purchase by ensuring that purchased products and services comply with the requirements including agreed delivery time.
Record Keeping
Follow up and update companies approved procurement plan
Other responsibilities.
Responsible in terms of monitoring purchase quantity against approved /budgeted quantity. Provide advance notice to site team to ensure material consumption is within the approved quantity.
Coordinate with site team for inventory management to avoid loss of material/damage due to over stocking.
Periodically visit project location to evaluate of quality materials received, meeting required specification and supplier adherence to time lines.
Job RequirementsQualification
Bachelor\'s degree in civil engineering.
PG diploma in supply chain is desired
Experience
Minimum 5 to 10 years experience in construction industry out which 3 years in supervisory role.
Exceptions to the specifications may be considered at management discretion depending on candidate\'s over-all potential, proven track record or any other needs that may arise.
Knowledge & Skills
Hand\'s on experience in SAP MM module or
Knowledge of construction sequence and materials
Excellent communication skills to deal effectively with suppliers, vendors and site staff.
Excellent negotiation skills
Good presentation and persuasion skill
Good business acumen
